Merry Christmas sweetheart, hold me close and say
I’m your favorite treasure our first together Christmas day
Stores don’t sell the love you bring or all the joy that’s mine
But since you asked, here’s what I want to have at Christmas time:

I want you to be my own Christmas tree
I’ll decorate you with kisses
Stars will rise in your shining eyes above our home of love

And all those lovely presents that only God can give
Will gather ’round your knees like all great Christmas trees
